The Videographer will provide public affairs support for ongoing initiatives in NAVSEA Public Affairs, to include speechwriting, exhibit services, photography support, print, photo, video, digital signage, and multimedia support.

Responsibilities:

Provide support for 8-12 videotaped events annually in support of the NAVSEA Commander in delivery of his message, using Contractor Furnished Equipment.
These videos will range from minutes in length and must be edited into a professional audiovisual product in accordance with industry audiovisual standards; adhere to Section 508 standards; and be usable in multiple mediums: including digital signage, website, social media and other communication products.
Requirements:

US Citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance; Candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance or higher are preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting, video production or audio=visual related field of study.
Five (5) years of related professional experience may be substituted for degree.
Fifteen (15) years of related technical experience.
Experience in video editing/production using Adobe Premier/Final Cut Pro

Demonstrated experience with multi-camera location setup and shooting

Ability to interact and partner with senior leadership.
Ability to provide creative solutions and products to support command information and messaging using interviews with organizational leadership as a starting point.

Responsibilities:

Provide speechwriting support for NAVSEA Commander and Executive Director (SEA 00/00B) for approximately 100 – 125 speaking events each year to include development of message to align
NAVSEA initiatives with those of the Secretary of the Navy, the Chief of Naval Operations and the Office of Legislative Affairs, and to provide support for the development of the NAVSEA Strategic Plan.
Speeches will be developed in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint formats.
Responsible for development of a bi-weekly “All Hands” e-mail for NAVSEA Commander; bi-weekly SEA 00 Leadership columns (400-700 words) for the NAVSEA HQ internal publication, maintaining strategic planning and speech calendars to include Observer theme/bi-weekly column, mapping of speeches to determine common themes, and maintenance of shared speech drive.
Requirements:

US Citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance; Candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance or higher are preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Public Relations or related field of study.
10 years’ experience in a communications or speechwriter position may be substituted for degree.
Fifteen (15) years of related technical experience.
Proficiency with MS Word/PowerPoint/Excel.
Desired:

Experience with change management communications, planning and implementing of strategic communications strategies, crisis communications, stakeholder relationship management and briefing development.

Responsibilities:

All photography should be captured in a journalistic style in digital format.
Photographs should be properly cropped, edited, and captioned with appropriate Visual Information Reference Identification Numbers, according to Navy Style guidelines to support archival and search/find of specific photo events on Government Furnished Equipment for use in other command public affairs products.
Photography products will be provided to support development of internal and external communications products, including print and online products, social media presence, a “scrapbook” for the outgoing Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command, and digital signage.
Maintain a calendar and digital and hard copy archive of all photography-supported events.
Photographs taken should be archived within one business day on government internal site as well as via CD in NAVSEA office binder.
Support the development of commanding officer’s “scrapbook” or other archive within 90 days of a new NAVSEA report date and produce the outgoing NAVSEA Scrapbook within 30 days of the NAVSEA Commander’s change of command and/or retirement.
Requirements:

US Citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance; Candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance or higher are preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Photography/Visual Arts or related field of study.

Provide a monthly report of all multimedia support and deliverables.
Requirements:

US Citizenship.

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Multimedia design preferred.
Additional five (5) years of professional experience may be substituted for degree.
