Job Description Summary
Overview
Client is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer in Test to drive our customer
experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving.
The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey,
highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an
entrepreneurial mindset.
Role
· This role would require familiarity with the ACI suite of
products, with a primary focus on Base24
· Familiarity with ISO Formats for the payments industry, with
focus on ISO 8583 (87 & 93) as well as the emerging API formats
· Experience with Application updates and migrations
· End-to-End Payment Lifecycle Experience
· This position will drive Quality/Test Strategy creation, early
automation, Software deployment & configuration quality, and device/Browser
compatibility for web applications
· Coordinate and participate in requirements review/story
elaborations and testing activities to deliver high quality products and
incremental value with every iteration
· Review project test and implementation schedules. Document test
plans and acceptance criteria using JIRA, Rally or such solution life cycle
management tools
· Develop test scripts and perform automated and manual exploratory
testing to ensure software meets business and security requirements and
established practices
· Own responsibility for end-to-end product quality including
defect management, oversight, status reporting, metrics creation, and
escalation for issues discovered during the testing phase
· Develop business and product knowledge over time and share such
knowledge to mentor newer team members. This is not a management position;
however, this position is expected to provide strong leadership to junior
members of the staff.
Responsibilities
· Works closely with software engineers to build quality by
ensuring proper test and code coverage, configuration quality, monitoring,
early performance testing
· Develops and implements QA standards, processes, tools and
methodologies; partners with other functions to establish testing
requirements
· Identifies and implements complex automation efforts; replicates
and resolves production issues for single application
· Defines and implements best practices for end-to-end application
performance management solutions; focuses on emerging technologies
All About You
· Expertise in agile, waterfall testing methodologies and tools
such as JIRA, RALLY, Quality Center, etc.
· Strong Payments Processing Knowledge
· Familiarity with the ACI suite of products, with a primary
focus on Base24 with relevant experience.
· Experience with Application updates and migrations
· End-to-End Payment Lifecycle Experience
· Good work ethic and fast learner
· Demonstrated experience developing high quality test
strategies and test execution ? specific focus on B24 related applications
· Experience testing across a variety of platforms: web and
mobile user interface, APIs (REST and SOAP), and/or data warehouse reports
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great
attention to detail, critical thinking, solid communication and proven
leadership skills – with the ability to lead multiple test paths
simultaneously.
JOB SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE(S)
· Successfully ensured quality of one or more application codebases
and alignment with development standard
· Experience in building automation frameworks, acceptance and
integration test automation scripts, integrating with other tools
