Financial Analyst

We are seeking a Financial Analyst in our Richmond, Virginia Corporate Office.

The Financial Analyst, reporting to the Senior Finance Director, is responsible for developing and tracking plan and forecast and providing reporting and recommendations to operationalize and achieve plan. This role will provide effective financial recommendations based on insightful customer and product profitability analysis. In addition, this role will prepare all month-end deliverables, support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as needed by leadership, and lead continuous process improvements for the group.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop the plan and forecast for the Extended Care Business Segment
• Establish and update target performance levels/KPIs
• Review variance analysis against forecasts and plans
• Review periodic financial forecasts, budgets and plans (e.g. LRP, AOP, other
• Provide financial recommendation and business performance updates
Manage relationships and partner with Sales and Operations leadership to provide effective financial recommendations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – this position interfaces with executive and sales leadership on a regular basis as well as other internal stakeholders
Develop month-end deliverables to support the sales and operations teams
• Generate business, financial, and operational reports
• Review standard management and executive level reports
• Assess customer and product profitability
• Optimize customer and product mix
• Track performance of new-customers
• Support sales reps and other internal customer questions/analytics
Support acquisition integration related activities and implementation of process improvement initiatives
• Support M&A and post-merger-integration
• Support process improvements and special projects
• Support Six Sigma validation activities

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field required, MBA preferred

Business Experience:

• 5 years of Finance/FP&A experience required
• Excellent knowledge of financial statements
• Experience with generating management reports
• Moderate experience working with Hyperion Planning and SmartView preferred
• Experience with PowerBI or Tableau preferred
• Previous healthcare or Pharma experience preferred
• Proficient in MS Office 365

• Ability to work with a business across geographies
• Possess ability and willingness to evaluate complex business problems, determine a solution and make effective and persuasive presentations to management
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking and managerial skills
• Advanced Excel, Proficient PowerPoint
Strong time management and organization skills with flexibility to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment
