Must haves to be considered:
1.) Must be a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist
2.) Must hold an active Florida medical license
3.) Must have an active DEA
4.) Must be comfortable in an inpatient setting
5.) Must be transparent and quick with credentialing
Looking for 4-6 psychiatrists in 4-6 different locations. Job details are subject to change very slightly, but not likely.
Interview process:
1 phone call with 2 executives
Length of assignment:
3 months to start
ONGOING till perm is found
Locum-to-perm opportunity is available
Schedule:
Friday – Monday
6PM-7AM
Rounding on Saturday and Sunday – 4-6 hours per day
Why is there a need?
A hand full of full time psychiatrist are scheduled to leave
Inpatient details: (full time details for comparison)
30 bed unit – 65%-75% utilization of beds
Average length of stay: 3-7 days
18-22 patients seen per day
New admissions: 35-50 minutes FLEXIBLE
1-3 per day
Consults: 15-25 minutes FLEXIBLE
15-18 per day
Cases:
Everything – depression, eating disorder, bi-polar, schizophrenia.
Support staff:
Mid-levels, therapists, LCSW’s, MA’s, RN’s etc.
