Insurer seeks a Senior Claims Examiner to investigate and settle large loss and complex claims. Candidate will primarily work on moderate to difficult claims.
The Job:
Review coverage, determine liability and amount payable, initiate investigations, and settle claims.
Manage investigation activities on complex claims.
Collaborate with legal counsel to determine and implement discovery and litigation strategy.
Authorize payments and ensure timely issuance of disbursements.
Establish sufficient reserves.
Develop subrogation and third party recovery potential.
Contribute to claims reviews and identify process improvements.
Desired Experience:
Bachelors degree.
4+ years of technical claims investigations and settlement experience.
Associate in Claims, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, American Educational Institute, Institute of Internal Auditors, or similar professional designation certificate.
