POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• US Citizen;
• Must currently possess an Active Secret Clearance; Only candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance will be considered for this position.;
• High School Diploma or Equivalent;
• Minimum of ten (10) years of general hands-on mechanical experience with US Navy HM&E equipment and have
• Minimum of at least five (5) years specialized hands-on experience,
• demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of shipboard electrical control systems and electrical controls troubleshooting pertaining to:
• Electrical Controllers/PLC’s, Electrical components associated with Air Conditioning controls, refrigeration system controls, air compressor controllers, complete knowledge of the mechanical and electrical operations of MRG dehumidifiers, ability to troubleshoot Sonar Dome DEPI gauges, programmable logic controllers on Air Bleed System, Dehumidifiers and Electronic Controls.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of Navy assessment programs, visit processes and reporting methods for visits.
• Demonstrate regularly using accepted current instrumentation for diagnosing equipment.
• Demonstrate ability for interpreting wiring diagrams and control schematics.
• Proficiency with personal computers (PC) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to compile information for reports & history files, transfer, identify & enhance digital images as needed.
• This position requires experience with the preparation and adjudication of Departures from Specifications (DFS) and Engineering Support Requests (ESRs), and review of Work Items and Process Control Procedures.
