We are seeking a Senior level Audit candidate with a passion for public accounting, who is looking to take the next step up into leading the financial reporting/audit department of our rapidly-growing, full-service CPA firm client, located north of Portland, Maine.
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the financial reporting engagement, audit planning, risk assessment and additional audit procedures, and evaluation of evidence. Preparation of financial statements, compilations, reviews, note disclosures and any required additional schedules while developing and cultivating professional client relationships.
Experience preparing financial statements, bookkeeping, QuickBooks, tax preparation, audit and assurance is required. Solid understanding of both FASB and GASB is required. Must have strong communication, analytical, organizational, client service, multi-tasking and computer skills (MS Office required). QuickBooks and Engagement software proficiency is a plus. Minimal travel required. Experience working with municipalities and non-profits is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline and a minimum of four years’ experience in a CPA firm with direct
audit/assurance and financial reporting experience and a proven ability to lead audits through to completion is required. CPA is a strong plus.
