My name is Chandler Bolt, and I run an Online Education company called Self Publishing School. We help people write and publish a book that grows their impact, income, and business.

Your mission (should you choose to accept it): is to provide data and insights to help grow Self Publishing School’s revenue as fast as possible, while also finding ways to reduce expenses and grow profitability.

POSITION SUMMARY
You MUST be:
Ready to learn, be challenged, and grow a ton
An analytical thinker who loves testing, digging into the numbers, and making data-driven decisions
An experienced analyst who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty, be scrappy, and execute quickly
This is done by fanatically understanding all the numbers at SPS and really living in the data daily. Specifically, you’ll focus on 3 areas:
Fast and accurate bookkeeping
Analysis of financial data and recommendations on where we can improve performance
Cost cutting and finding ways to operate more efficiently
When the job is done correctly, our most profitable centers at SPS are growing quickly and becoming more profitable and our underperforming areas are analyzed to improve performance with a high focus on doing more of what’s working… thus reducing expenses and growing profit/revenue.
KPI’s:
Total Expenses (reducing them as a %)
Lower operating expenses
LER
COGS
Reduce Merchant fee %
NOTE: This position full-time and virtual. Meaning you can work from anywhere. The team here at SPS is located around the world, with the majority of us in North America. Preference for this position is someone working in the US or Canada.

Qualifications:
At Self Publishing School, we value work ethic, coachability, attitude, and past results you’ve delivered significantly more than your degree (or lack thereof), GPA, etc.
Have you delivered results in a similar role in the past? If so, that’s what we’re looking for.

Required:
1 year of experience with Accounting/Business Analysis
1 year of experience with Bookkeeping
1 year of experience with Quickbooks or similar accounting software
Excellent written and verbal English communication
Ability and willingness to keep maintain confidentiality
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently
Familiarity with accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
Prefered:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business analysis, or finance
Understanding tax law and tax savings strategies
2 year of experience with Accounting/Business Analysis
Desire to continue to grow through continuing training
Experience with statistical analysis and financial forecasting
Attention to detail and the ability to identify data patterns
THE PAY
$50,000 – $65,000; depending on qualification and experience.
