Responsibilities
• Analyze data structures under current data hubs (FXO, Fresh sales), make recommendations and propose a model to optimize queries and processes for corporate dashboards.
• Develop technical infrastructure designs, data mappings, flows and report dissemination mechanisms for data.
• Analyze source corporate data of different types and design/improve programs for extraction, transformation and loading into a centralized database.
• Work with other teams to map data elements for ETLs, e.g., uploading sales lead to our CRM.
• Create data dictionaries and maintain metadata.
• Apply ad hoc data extraction tools to applications and systems’ data extraction and migration.
• Create and manage SQL database objects including tables, indexes, and procedures.
• Support the follow-up process of the corporate CRM (Fresh sales), providing analytical support as needed and coordinating improvements to current processes and services, including the automation of the Lead Scrubbing process for Sales Operations.
• Design, develop and test programs using SQL Server, Power BI, and Integromat for database applications and automations.
• Develop and generate standard and ad hoc reporting capabilities from new and existing data sources, and pinpoint data inaccuracies for further Sales Operations investigation.
• Develop and modify queries, programs, and stored procedures to support standard and ad hoc reporting.
• Support efforts to increase operational efficiency through innovation, process improvement, and the use of analytics to be used in the digital transformation initiatives.
• Support in the establishment of streamlined quality control processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data in operational and corporate systems.
• As a strategic partner to our internal units, act as an advisor to apply data and digital intelligence for decision making, operations design, and strategic communications.
• Be pro-active and find new data engines to import high-quality leads and prospects.
• Provide inputs, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of each requirement of other user units.
• Provide mentoring and assistance to new IT staff and create support materials.
Required Qualifications
• Master’s Degree (or comparable work experience) in computer science, information technology, systems engineering, with emphasis in data analytics and data management.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience related to the key responsibilities of the position.
• Ability to tell stories with data
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Experience with a CRM
• Power BI (or comparable tool) for data manipulation and visualization
• High proficiency in MSOffice 365
• Advanced MS Excel and Access (including macros and VBA coding/scripts)

The Accounting Specialist is a key component of meeting the challenges to ensure our business partners are able to execute the trading and risk management strategies across the Markets business. Here’s how the Accounting Specialist role will make a vital impact:

Prepare and distribute daily trading revenue and P&L analysis reports to senior management
Prepare risk-based attribution reports explaining market and trading impacts
Prepare trade details to subledger and general ledger accounting results
Maintain accounting controls and process documentation across numerous systems and legal entities for both external transactions and internal affiliated transactions
Conduct balance sheet variance analysis
Prepare independent price validation testing (daily/monthly/quarterly)
Prepare accounting adjustment entries through PeopleSoft general ledger
Assist in quarterly financial statement submissions in compliance with GAAP accounting
Implement accounting system implementations and updates to improve efficiency, automation, and strengthen controls.
Provide support to internal and external auditors and assist in regulatory submissions
May provide presentations, information and/or recommendations to senior management, the internal board of directors and regulators, as needed.

A successful candidate should ideally have these qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
5-10 years of total work experience in accounting or finance with financial services experience preferred
MBA, CFA, or CPA/CA/local area equivalent certification preferred.
Advanced Excel Skills – Pivot tables, complex formulas, VBA macros
Experience with accounting applications such as Oracle Financials, Wall Street Systems, IMMS, Summit, Murex, Bloomberg and Intrader is preferred
Knowledge of Volcker and Basel regulatory requirements preferred
Minimum Language Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills in English

Position Summary
Environmental Health and Safety assists departments in maintaining a safe and healthy university for staff, faculty, and visitors. This position can require independent decision making that is highly varied and complex and requires novel and creative approaches to resolution. These decisions could affect the health and safety of university faculty, staff, students, and visitors, and the university’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

This position supports the University of Oregon Fire Marshal’s Office primarily through managing established fire safety programs throughout the university. The Fire / Life Safety Professional will have an active working knowledge of the Oregon Fire Code, and the ability to apply it to campus fire protection systems, regulated hazardous materials, building construction projects, and large-scale campus events. This position will make recommendations to the UO Fire Marshal regarding fire protection system upgrades, hazardous materials compliance management and overall campus fire safety. This position will assist the UO Fire Marshal’s Office in staffing UO events and providing fire safety consultation in the planning of some UO events. Events may occur outside of normal business hours, including weekends and holidays. The Fire / Life Safety Professional will also remain engaged throughout the campus community in providing customer service regarding fire safety issues.

This position may be required to perform work with limited prior notice in support of campus events and emergencies, including weekend, morning, evening and holiday hours.

Minimum Requirements
• A Bachelor’s degree with primary focus (45 quarter hours or 32 semester hours) in the physical sciences; AND
• Five years of experience performing duties comparable to Environmental Health & Safety Professional Level 2; OR
• A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or professional certifications.

Graduate-level courses in the subject areas may be substituted, on a credit-hour basis, for a portion of the required experience.
