The Process Engineer-pet food supports the development of new or improved making processes and early research initiatives that advance equipment designs, improve end-product characteristics, and result in cutting edge process and factory controls. This position reports to the Senior Process Engineer and collaborates with the HQ R&D team, the HQ Equipment Design teams (extruder, dryer, coater, etc.), and with HQ Sales teams. Detail responsibilities are as below:

Support, grow, and learn from the Senior Process Engineer – Pet Food.
Propose new or improved Product and Process Projects for the Equipment and Process Innovation Grid.
Troubleshoot existing equipment or processes and support corrective actions with existing customers.
Lead and support the delivery of the approved Product and Process Innovation Projects in partnership with HQ R&D and Design Engineers.
Use drafting tools or computer-assisted design software (2-D & 3-D).
Utilize your unique process expertise, to fill gaps on the team, to solve design challenges.
Propose Early Research Projects that advance our basic understanding of the application or product by conducting literature searches to create a hypothesis, prepare protocols for the HQ R&D team to conduct, and summarize the findings.
Assist with commissioning of new process prototypes.
Assist with Pilot Plant research studies.
Support customers by providing technical assistance and presentations.
International Travel up to 33%.
