Position: API Solution Architect
Location: San Jose-CA/Onsite

MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
? Define overall architecture, integration, and deployment of API management
and API runtime infrastructure
? Create and maintain solution design diagrams and documentation
? Plan API platform capacity, configuration, resiliency, and management
activities to handle business transaction volumes
? Ensure development teams are following defined implementation patterns
? Guide application development teams through the API design for new
applications development activity.
? Lead working sessions to address challenges faced by the application teams
looking to leverage the API platform
? Interface with Enterprise Security teams to streamline developer and client
onboarding experience
? Provide guidance on SAML, oAuth, mTLS and other API authentication standards.
? Establish robust platform monitoring with proactive capabilities to handle
24 by 7 operation
? Assist in troubleshooting complex platform issues involving infrastructure
components of Apigee
? Interact with the production support organization to provide guidance and
collect/act on feedback
? Must have extensive experience with Apigee on-premise / cloud implementations
? Must have excellent understanding of API platform components and features
? Must be experienced in architecture design for internal and externally
facing API integration use cases
? Well-versed in scalability, performance, network, and security elements of
the solution (firewalls, load balancing, Cyber Security, authentication,
monitoring)
? Must understand development of distributed applications based on
microservices architecture.
? Very experienced in SLDC and specifically CI/CD processes
? Should be experienced in interacting with business and technology leadership
teams
? Very strong communication and presentations skills
? Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
? Proven delivery track record in a complex environment
? Self-motivated, organized, and capable to manage short- and longer-term
assessments
? Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
? Drive to follow up, report on, and push for progress on slow moving projects.
