Purchasing Manager
Pay: DOE
Hours: 8am – 5pm
Days: Monday – Friday
Location: Tulsa/Catoosa, OK
Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Qualifications:
3 – 5 years’ experience in a Purchasing environment recommended
MRP system and/or inventory flow experience a plus
Strong verbal /written skills in Microsoft Excel & Word
Organized, detailed, above average math skills with strong order entry skills
Warehouse management
Past Kaizan/Lean involvement a plus
Experience with setting up procurement process and procedures
Responsibilities:
Purchase Production items to meet production schedule
Expedite orders
Vendor negotiation
Maintain MRP Planning parameters for purchased items
Work with Engineering and Production to assure uninterrupted production flow.
Meet cost reduction goals
Report supplier scorecards and drive both quality & delivery performance improvements
Develop/maintain a minimum of two suppliers for all key commodities and work to reduce any long lead times to avoid production risks
Working with other buyers to review BOM’s from Engineering
Work with set distribution to procure electrical components and consumables (Often repeatable)
Help main buyer with purchasing items for inventory and or stock
Steel, insulation, plastic, paint, and supplies
Tracking and updating production meeting when said components are to arrive.
Assist with the purchase of capital equipment
Working with other buyers to review BOM’s from Engineering
Work with set distribution to procure electrical components and consumables (Often repeatable)
Help main buyer with purchasing items for inventory and or stock
Steel, insulation, plastic, paint, and supplies
Tracking and updating production meeting when said components are to arrive.
Assist with the purchase of capital equipment
