VP of Manufacturing

Our client is an innovative aviation startup that has been developing a high-end 5-seater Single Engine Piston aircraft.
They are introducing a new category of aircrafts that are design-centric and modern, as well as fast, safe and easy to fly. The aircraft has been constantly improved through flight tests, tweaks and operational feedback and are now flying.

Our client is looking for a VP of Manufacturing to be in charge of the full plane manufacturing process and will report directly to the Founder and CEO of the company. Extensive training will be provided.

Responsibilities:
You will be managing the full production process of the aircraft based on the technical drawings and designs specifications.
Together with a small team, you will lead the manufacturing process from A to Z.
You will also coordinate the flow of materials, parts and sub-assemblies between the team and suppliers where necessary.
Work closely with Test Pilots to gather and review feedback after test flights.

This is a hands-on role and key position at the same time.

Who are you?
You have a strong background in mechanical engineering, around 5-7 years of experience. (Experience in the aviation industry is a plus but other industries are also considered, as extensive training will be provided.)
