Job Description

. Participate in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of treaty
and facultative administration functions with our intermediaries and
reinsurers.

. Responsible for accurate, timely reporting and billing to
intermediaries and reinsurers.

. Prepare settlement to intermediaries and reinsurers and
ensure accurate internal cash coding and clearing.

. Actively pursue and collect ceded balances due to Markel and
manage recoverable aging within required timelines.

. Participate in the Reinsurance Operations mailbox inflow;
determine appropriate action required, and forward to the appropriate
process owner, as required.

. Respond to reinsurer inquiries in a timely manner to support
timely balance settlement and support customer relations.

. Understand reinsurance treaty contract language pertaining to
contractual requirements, as applicable.

. Adhere to all SOX controls and maintain and follow all
department processes and procedures.

. Assist with internal and external audit review, as needed.

. Assist with systems integration and testing, as needed.

. Work closely with other functional areas (i.e. Global Ceded
Re, Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, and Close Control & Reporting) to
resolve issues and support achievement of business goals.
