Job: Big Data Architect
Duration: 12+ Months
Location: NYC
Job Duties:
? Analyze requirements provided by clients w.r.t operations,
applications, and programming; reviewing objectives with clients;
evaluating current systems;
? Present architecture diagram, design documents to leaders and
partners.
? Relay the information effectively to team members (other
developers) from technical POV.
? Develops solutions by designing proposed system; defining
physical structure and functional capabilities, back-up, and recovery
specifications.
? Collaborating with partnering teams, leaders and team members.
? Address any blockers or solutions from technical and business
perspective.
? Prepares documentation detailing the complete workflow of the
system.
? Provides support by coding utilities, responding to user
questions, and resolving problems.
? Perform code reviews and provide inputs on areas of
improvements focusing towards optimizations.
? Focus on effective client delivery in the given timeline.
? Should be able to work in on-site/off-shore model
Skills and Qualifications:
? 10 years of IT experience.
? Proficient in Object Oriented language like Scala or Java.
? Proficient in Shell Scripting
? Solid Hands-on in bigdata tech stack like ? Spark, Hive,
HBase, Kafka, Hadoop
? Proficient in dev tools ? GIT, Build tools (maven or gradle),
IDE (IntelliJ/ Eclipse)
? Prior experience with MapR platform in added bonus
