Description:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Intermediate database skills (SQL and Oracle DB) to perform basic querying of
data and ability to translate code into business logic
Intermediate experience in one or more of the following ETL Applications to
look at code and understand data – Informatica, AbInitio or SAP Data Services
Exposure in one or more of the following – Microstrategy, Tableau, Cognos,
SAP Business Objects or SAP HANA
Strong acumen around financial terms and financial analysis – clear
understanding of data on annual reports and earnings statements
Ability to complete analysis of complex financial and regulatory data to
determine inconsistencies or problems with data under limited supervision
Ability to document client meetings details in to BI requirements and
identify illegitimate requirements and provide reasons for the same.
Ability to develop test documentation (e.g. test plans, test cases and test
scripts) and execute test scripts
Exposure to Kimball dimensional data modeling and data warehousing
methodologies.
Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with a wide range of
audiences and maintain interpersonal relationships.
Ability to work within time constraints and manage multiple tasks against
critical deadlines.
Ability to perform basic problem solving and apply critical thinking,
deductive reason and inductive reasoning to identify solutions.
