Seeking individual with ability to lead the development of homeowner, auto and personal lines umbrella product features, pricing, compliance and marketing plan. must have track record developing new rating plans, underwriting rules, process improvements, etc.
Activities:
Analyze, improve, and develop new products, i.e. product coverages, packages, and features for personal lines auto and homeowners insurance meeting the compliance and market issues.
Supervise team of product analysts; Coach, mentor, train, and develop team members; Guide and serve as expert resource to subordinate Product Analysts applying predictive modeling and other quantitative concepts and applying to product development.
Interfaces with other departments to address product related issues including reviewing documentation, interpreting rules, and coordinating and monitoring activities involving marketing, customer service, underwriting, finance, and information technology.
Provide regulatory expertise to support issues relating to rating plans, rules and endorsements, etc.
Monitor and report to management and underwriting teams on the competitive, legislative, and regulatory environments as well as identify emerging threats and risks and recommend plans for responding.
Requires:
Solid regulatory expertise.
Some formal casualty underwriting or actuarial training or certification.
Bachelors degree.
Track record addressing compliance and profitably issues for specific product programs.
