Title: Associate Financial Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY
As a Financial Analyst you will be responsible for financially supporting a division of the Finance Department with primary focus on the supply chain and manufacturing organizations.

North American Operational Organization
DNA Finance
Accounting
Internal/External Audit
Accounts Payable
Engineering
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
As a financial Analyst, you will be required to be a financial control point for an operational group(s) within North America and provide sound and objective analytical support while maintaining and monitoring financial controls and adhering to corporate compliance and policies. You must have a strong understanding of the cost flow of the organization you support and proactively work to streamline and enhance the operational reporting and operational understanding of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
In supporting a segment of this company you will be required monthly, quarterly, or annually to:
Provide month-end closing/analysis and variance analysis
Preparing and posting journal vouchers
Prepare monthly forecast analysis/assistance for standard cost & operating expenses
Prepare annual plan analysis/assistance for standard cost, & operating expenses
Perform cost management analysis
Prepare and maintain various operational reporting packages
Prepare and maintain standard cost in ERP systems
Communicate regularly with multiple layers of management
Perform other ad hoc reporting and analysis
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will also perform special projects to include:
Variance analysis for both sales manufacturing and engineering
Annual cost revision
Troubleshooting and correction.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance preferred
Prefer 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis
Must have sound analytical skills
Must have strong communication skills
Must have strong personal computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel and
Access)
Must have interpersonal problem solving skills
Must be able to work independently with little supervision
Must be able to perform multiple tasks
Must be motivated and self-directed
Working knowledge of Oracle, SAP and Longview is a plus
