Seeking chemical and equipment technician to advise and perform hands-on tasks related to application and maintenance of materials and equipment involving the chemistries listed below at regional meat packing and slaughter house operations.
PH Adjusters, Acidifiers, Microbial Agents such as lactic, acetic and citric acid.
Application is made through both spray and dip to treat hides, carcasses, larger primal cuts, sub-primals, prepackaged meat (case ready), and value-added cuts and products including ground meat.
Hydrogen Peroxide for oxidation and sterilization.
Peracetic Acid-Based antimicrobial Agent for chlorine-free antimicrobial agent approved for use at multiple intervention points, including on-line reprocessing (OLR), finishing chillers, chillers, parts, salvage, and other poultry processing waters. Environmentally-friendly chemistry that breaks down to acetic acid and hydrogen peroxide.
Additional activities:
Conduct daily inspections, take equipment readings, and optimize production rates.
Use laboratory instrumentation to conduct analysis and report findings.
Monitor storage, pumping and application equipment and coordinate maintenance, repairs, parts replacement, etc.
Support environmental, safety and regulatory related activities.
