After School Science Program for grades 1-5 is hiring for a part time teacher/teacher assistant. Position requires running a classroom of students through reading the lesson, performing the experiment, and working on worksheets. During the experiment and worksheets, it is a more hands off experience, with the kids doing the bulk of the work and the teacher providing assistance and direction.
The program is offered in different locations and runs through May. The other months of the year there are no hours available.
The current location being hired for is Grapevine, TX. Hours are 2.5 hours per week, from 2:45 – 5:15p, Wednesday afternoons. Great job for students, especially those wanting to be teachers or those with a science background. Salary is $25 per hour. Other days may be available for the right candidate.
No experience necessary, training and materials provided. Must be able to pass background check. Would prefer people attempting to become teachers, but not required.
