Project Manager Big Data ? Cloud Project

Duration: 6+ months
SUMMARY
migrating its IBM DB2 Data Warehouse from an IBM Mainframe located in a its
North America data center to Azure-based SQL Data Warehouse, migrating the
reporting environments for six-plus lines of business who create and maintain
reports and dashboards across report creators and report consumers. The project
team is currently seeking a project manager to be dedicated to this project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
? Provide overall project management to Big Data ? Cloud Project including the
design, creation, and maintenance of all project plans and documentation
? Ensure effective flow of projects throughout their life cycles while
balancing competing constraints across the project teams
? Capture and manage project requirements through the help of SMEs, project
sponsors, and/or other stakeholders
? Articulate and drive KPIs, project milestones, resource strategies, and
deliverables
? Establish and maintain project communication and engagement with
stakeholders
? Facilitate and plan content of project meetings, daily and weekly
? Advise management on key project risks and issues
? Liaison for inquires related to project management standards, processes,
and resources
? Monitor compliance with PM standards, procedures, and templates
? Provide recommendations to develop, modify, and/or improve organizational
process assets (templates, workflows, processes, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
? Ability to work independently as well as within a dispersed team environment.
? Self-motivated learner with ability to take initiative in an evolving and
collaborative environment to produce timely, high quality results.
? Possess a balance of technical, interpersonal, and conceptual skills that
help to analyze situations and interact appropriately.
? Confident curiosity to ask questions to gain deep understand of project
elements and suggest processes improvements.
? Demonstrated proficiency at completing tasks in a timely manner.
? MBA Degree preferred, College degree required with proven
experience/background in Project Management
? Fluency in web technology and content publishing applications
? PMP, Agile, or other relevant discipline required
? PMP Certification Required
? Proven expertise in: Large scale (enterprise) Project Management utilizing
industry recognized PM methods and tools, such as the PMBOK from the PMI.
? Proven Skills: Team and personnel leadership; Lead team of PM and
Management professionals on large scale, enterprise wide projects.
? Experience in the following areas:
o Experience in managing large scale, highly complex, long-term projects
recently
o Project management methodology based on the PMBOK 9 knowledge areas
o MS Tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
o Project Management tool – Clarity
o Cost estimation techniques and business case preparation
o Financial services/captive auto finance industry experience
o Strong understanding of System Development LifeCycle (SDLC) & IT application
development process
