SLD Laser is looking to expand its team in Tucson with a Engineer to support the activities of the product development team.
The Opto/Mechanical Engineer’s role is to support product development team, construct, adapt and modify assemblies, systems and sub-systems of optical-mechanical nature and troubleshoot and correct malfunctions
Perform manual assembly, inspection and testing.
Troubleshoot issues to improve yield.
Work with team on new design builds and protocols.
Perform opto-mechanical component assembly on integration systems.
Perform opto-electronic tests on various laser diode based assemblies.
Experience & Skills
Have hands on experience in related field and activities
Be able to work under microscope, have very high level of dexterity and excellent stereoscopic visual capabilities.
Have experience with lab equipment/tools (Multimeter, Oscilloscope, power supplies, etc…)
Have experience with reading and writing detailed technical documents.
