Requires knowledge of: Robotic Arms; End Effectors; Programmable Controllers; Distributed Control Technologies; Human Machine Interfaces; Muti-Axis Motion Control and Manipulation; Sensors and Machine Vision; Data Comm, Data Storage, Measurement, Computation and Machine Logic Decision Making; etc.
Activities:
Coordinate engineering activities: planning, scheduling, design supervision, fabrication, testing, etc.
Ensure product designs comply with company standards, engineering principles, and customer contract requirements.
Hire, coach, motivate, and manage technical staff.
Work closely with production to design for manufacturability and develop and improve manufacturing capabilities.
Administer department inventories, resources and equipment.
