Job Description·
Understand Kafka configuration
· Provide expertise in Kafka brokers, zookeepers, Kafka connect,
schema registry, KSQL, Rest proxy and Kafka Control center.
Involvement in Apache Kafka Administrator/Operator is required.
· Standing up and administering on premise Kafka platform.
· Rich experience in defining Kafka topics/partitions
· Experience In Defining Kafka Storage
· Experience around Kafka subscribers – publish/subscribe model
· Understanding of Kafka log analysis
· Ensure optimum performance, high availability and stability of
solutions
· Create topics, setup redundancy cluster, deploy monitoring tools,
alerts and has good knowledge of best practices.
· Provide administration and operations of the Kafka platform like
provisioning, access lists Kerberos and SSL configurations.
· Involvement with grouping/clustering and high volume systems.
· Ensure optimum performance, high availability and stability of
solutions
· Evaluate, install and deploy changes including new applications,
security patches and other changes through lower environments to minimize the
likelihood of negatively impacting production availability-
· Troubleshoot server configuration issues
· Good understanding of data feeding from on premises or cloud to AWS
cloud.
· Use automation tools like provisioning using open shift, Docker,
Chef, Jenkins, BB and RLM.
· Understanding of Apache Spark Streaming / Storm
· Understanding of Hadoop Clusters
· Fine tune Hadoop applications for high performance and throughput
· Troubleshoot and debug any Hadoop ecosystem run time issues
· Understanding enterprise Hadoop environment
· Ability to work as part of a Scrum team, following agile practices
· Strong communication and collaboration skills Should be comfortable
working in a rapidly transforming organization
· Knowledge of version control such as Git / Bitbucket and Jenkins
for builds Understanding of how to integrate code into automated deployment
pipelines with CICD.
· Design and implement solutions based on the product roadmap.
· Collaborate with critical stakeholders to understand business
needs, priority, and the quality of services and define the product design.
Design for non-functional requirements such as security, scalability,
resiliency, and performance in all solutions. Design for horizontally scalable
solutions.
· Implement deployment automation.
· Solves complex performance issues. Work with vendor to review
products to meet the capabilities needs. Define and document best practices.
Provide training, knowledge share, brown bag sessions, etc. Drive solution to
be compliant with Target State Architecture. Drive enhancements to Target State
Architecture to meet future business needs.
