Hyperion Planning Consultant

Job Description:

Perform implementation, development, administration, and maintenance activities for Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase, and ODI.

Washington, DC

Education/ Experience

4+ years of experience as technical consultant
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
Advanced Degree is equivalent to 3 years of experience 
Key Responsibilities:

An understanding of databases and data structures 
Facilitates best practice guidelines around all stages of development
Provides technical leadership to serve as point of escalation, review, and approval for key issues, significant projects, and decisions
Able to work with stakeholders, and translate requirements to design and build a solution that will meet business needs
Gain team and stakeholder approval for all designs and effort estimates
Document work via functional and technical specs
Develop unit tests, performance tests, and consider security requirements
Prepare and participate in design and code reviews
Analyze processes for gaps and weaknesses, building future state models and creating the roadmaps and migration plans to get there
Develop ODI interfaces and packages to integrate metadata and data between SQL and Hyperion Planning applications
Setup and maintain the topology and logical schema for an ODI environment
Schedule ODI packages
Work with complex Interfaces/Mappings using ODI
Update and develop calculation scripts and business rules
Train new Hyperion users and lead multiple training sessions from beginning to expert levels
Provide constant end user support
Assist with Database, Essbase and Hyperion application Administration such as security, tuning, backup and recovery on different servers, platforms, and operating systems.
Support system security and support/coordinate software updates and patches as needed.
