This role is responsible for performing risk and health analytics that cover a broad range of providers, patients, and payers. Tasks include, but not limited to, report development examining medical cost drivers of the organization, pricing new business and assist in evaluation of monthly incurred but not reported. This candidate must have experience in report development, data sciences/statistical data analysis, and have strong SQL experience to query, maintain, and create reports across SSRS, SSAS, and other SQL related tools. The ideal candidate is creative, self-sufficient and resourceful. They must have the ability to quickly learn both the technology and business concepts, and experience in working with both business and IT teams.
Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related actuarial science/math from an accredited
institution
• ASA or FSA certification
• Actuarial work experience within a managed care, health insurance organization
preferred
• Advanced Excel skills – create pivot tables, v-lookups, and spreadsheets with
formulas
• 3+ years’ experience using Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008/2012/2014 solutions
and reporting preferred
• Advanced SAS or SQL programming/coding experience preferred
• Advanced understanding of Relational and Dimensional data structures and use
• Negotiation and persuasion skills; ability to facilitate consensus among a diverse
group of stakeholders
• Experience with Agile development (SAFE or other)
