We are seeking a Materials Manager for a large growing manufacturing
company, located near Salem, MA to oversee supply chain, procurement,
materials management and logistics.
Responsible for providing leadership to the materials and logistics staff.
Oversight of the daily material processes, improvements, strategies,
inventory optimization and supplier relationships. Perform data analytics,
management materials metrics and lead procurement related meetings.
Must have experience in Lean, Kanban, continuous improvement initiatives
with an emphasis on providing a high value of return. Must also have
experience with ERP systems, data analysis, MS Office and MRP. Outstanding
communication, negotiation, problem solving, project management and
leadership skills are required.
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years’ experience in a Lean
Manufacturing Environment – procurement, inventory management, or
operations, with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and
techniques. APICS certification is a plus. Some travel required.
