Position : Business Analyst with Transportation exp
Location : Jacksonville, FL 32225
Duration : 12+ months
Pay rate: $40/hr
– Ideally they want transportation exp
– And they want someone more technical with systems exp
Responsibilities:
– Facilitate workshops to define business rules
– Work with SME’s to extract business rules (integration) from existing
mainframe system and vendor applications
– Analyze source and target integration flows, create message mappings
(EDI, flat file, cobol copy book, json)
– Create documentation, diagrams and integration specifications
Qualifications:
– Great communications, negotiation and documentation skills
– Direct experience in integration projects, specifically discovery of
business rules and message mapping
– Direct experience with logistics FTL, LTL, liner operations, including
order states and events, equipment states
– Direct experience with multi-modal shipments (rail, liner, truck,
air), including all states of equipment (i.e. equipment)
– Direct experience in liner (shipping) bookings, states, equipment
states, voyages
– Experience with documenting business rules for review/understanding of
SME?s and outside parties
– Experience with message mapping spreadsheets, including transformations
– Experience with a variety of data formats (EDI, cobol copybook, flat
file, json)
– Knowledge of SQL tables, understanding queries and investigating the
domains of values for fields
– Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
– Deadline and detail-oriented
