Position Overview: GVI, Inc., a DoD contractor industry leader, is seeking Logistics Analysts to perform physical inventory functions at numerous sites in support of NAVSEALOGCEN material management.
Currently we have 6 separate sites scheduled for inventory, three in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach commuting area and 3 outside (Indiana, New Jersey and Yorktown, VA). The current schedule runs consistently into October.
Each site represents a 3-week requirement though these are scheduled such that when one site is complete (on a Friday) the next begins Monday.
All sites outside the Norfolk/Virginia Beach commuting area include full Per Diem to cover airfare, lodging, meals, etc.
Applicants must have a Secret clearance. Knowledge of Navy-ERP (SAP) inventory management systems strongly preferred as is previous inventory/warehouse experience. Pay commensurate with experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to perform physical inventory counting and labeling of material.
Ability to identify material by NSN, P/N, serial number, etc.
Familiarity with DoD Supply System and material marking.
Ability to learn quickly in order to eliminate errors.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks (counting), employ attention to detail and work under minimal supervision.
Ability to utilize the internet to record timekeeping.
There are two levels of potential inventory team personnel.
The following levels & experience levels are available:
Logistics Analyst 1 – Entry level position with 1 to 5 years-experience and an active SECRET security clearance.
Logistics Analyst 2 – 5+ years-experience (to include 6 months with N-ERP) and an active SECRET security clearance.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
US Citizen only;
Active Secret Clearance required;
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Work experience as described above in logistics to include purchasing, transportation, receiving, storing, inventorying, packaging, shipping and disposing of materials and supplies in a warehouse.
Must possess a valid US Driver’s License.
Position requires up to 90% travel depending on where you live.
Position’s anticipated duration: minimum 27 Sept 2019 but FY20 schedule being developed by the government customer.
