Job Description:

As AWS Developer, you will take a technical role in the AWS work stream,
enabling BP s use of AWS public cloud services. Working within a
self-organising team, you ll play a leading part in continuously improving
cloud infrastructure services by devising key metrics that measure improvements
and enhance delivery.
What you ll do
As a technical expert, the primary purpose of this role will be to ensure
that core IaaS and Storage products are automated to self-service for other
internal and supplier support teams to access. You will also take
responsibility for:
Hands on development and implementation of AWS, market provided or write our
own integration technology and tooling to facilitate consumption of AWS IaaS
and Storage services
Writing minimal design documentation sets
Working in a co-located agile team
Working closely with internal IT customers to ensure they can meet their
goals for cloud consumption
 
What you need
Experience in AWS services cloud formation IaaS, Storage, IAM, Networking
Experience with physical infrastructure and concepts for server, storage, and
networking
AWS PaaS/SaaS services
Understanding of Agile and DevOps cultural practises
Experience in Ruby and Python against AWS API, Lambda, Cloud Formation
Linux and Windows operating systems Shell and PowerShell scripting
Chef Automate/Compliance/DSL
Splunk
Image build pipelines (Go CD)
GitLab
Automated testing
