Job Description:
Must have skills:
Basic knowledge of Apigee Edge usage.
Intimate knowledge of various Apigee components like Cassandra, Zookeeper,
PostGres, etc and their interaction with each other.
In depth understanding of various topologies for On Prem Apigee Edge and
each topology?s Pros and Cons.
Detailed understanding of Apigee?s Management API.
Needs to know how deployment/undeployment of Apigee proxies and shared
flows works.
Has to be familiar with all the different coding components of Apigee Edge
? KeyValueMap, TargetServer, Keystore, Truststore, etc.
Should be aware of various configuration options available for deployment.
Basic Linux admin commands Good to have skills:
Basic understanding of Puppet.
Should be able to write Puppet scripts to invoke Rest api (for deploying
Apigee components using the Management API).
Should be familiar with GitHub and standard branching/tagging philosophies.
Should be aware of various deployment models like A/B testing, Blue-Green
deployment, Canary release, etc. Responsibilities will include the below but
will not be limited to:
Develop the Puppet scripts for having CI/CD for Apigee i.e. whenever Apigee
code is checked into GitHub the necessary builds should be triggered.
And in case of success the build should be deployed to the respective
servers.
And in case of failures a mail should be sent out to the relevant team
members.
Overall management of the different planets and orgs of Apigee Edge.
Setup health monitoring of all the different Apigee components.
