STREET MAINTENANCE WORKER

Duties: Performs a variety of unskilled & semi-skilled manual labor in the construction & maintenance of streets, storm sewers, buildings & other municipal facilities; drives various types of trucks & operates light construction equipment; lays & rakes asphalt; performs & assists in carpentry, including construction of forms, concrete work, painting & minor welding; responds to weather & other emergencies.
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.
Experience: One year construction or maintenance work preferred.
Requirements: Must live within 40-minutes response time; must possess Kansas Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with air brakes & tanker endorsements.
Work Type: Very heavy, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Hours: Workweek generally Monday-Friday.
Pay: $12.62-20.15/hr. EOE
