Controller

The Controller is responsible for overseeing the full accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting functions for all Woodward Video companies.
This role manages daily financial operations, ensures compliance with government reporting and licensing requirements, supports payroll and tax functions, and contributes to operational efficiency through organization, leadership, and technology improvement.
The Controller works closely with ownership and management to support the financial health and growth of the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting activities for all Woodward Video companies
Prepare quarterly financial reporting and consumer sales reporting
Process payroll for all company entities
Perform bank reconciliations
Manage POS system reporting and prepare Profit & Loss statements
Track and reconcile store deposits
Prepare and file required tax forms including 1095, 1094, and 1099 forms
Coordinate and communicate with external accountants as needed
Licensing & Tax Compliance
Assist with lottery, health, and liquor licensing requirements
Manage property tax and real estate tax filings
Prepare financial estimates and support forecasting needs
Office & Operations Support
Maintain an organized, efficient, and professional office environment
Participate in hiring and termination of office staff when needed
Support company growth by identifying and implementing new technology and process improvements
Company Leadership & Representation
Demonstrate strong professionalism and prioritize people-first leadership
Continuously seek learning opportunities and skill development
Take on new responsibilities and challenges as business needs evolve
Represent Woodward Video positively within the community
Communicate proactively with leadership if responsibilities become unclear or stagnant
QUALIFICATIONS:
