Client is looking to engage an experienced, professional, Business Analyst
with Technical Writing skills to develop, maintain and keep up-to-date our
FTE?s IT Business, and technical documentation for our portfolio of projects,
products, and services. General Responsibilities: This person is responsible
for writing and editing system architecture and design documentation for the
Department?s applications. This person must have excellent analysis skills,
must be able to organize their ideas, and be able to translate implementations
into textual and diagrammatical representations. Translates high-level business
requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages
changes to such specifications. Educates the IT organization on the direction
of the business. Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating
communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to
final implementation.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate should possess an in-depth understanding of organizational
requirement document, data flow, use cases, and its use in management
decision-making.

Write and maintain IT technical documentation including SDLC technical
specifications, IT architectural drawings, IT Infrastructure technical
specifications, Data-Flow diagrams, Process Flow diagrams, SOPs, operator,
training, and other supporting materials.

Review implemented code including but not limited to PL/SQL and JAVA in
order to develop required documentation.

Solicit implementation details from software developers and architects.

Ability to model implementations using Class, Component, Composite
Structure, Deployment, Object, and Package UML diagrams.

Consult with peers on best practices and prior experience related to
software modeling techniques.

Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, while working independently and
with peers.

Complete writing assignments according to standards regarding clarity,
conciseness, style, and terminology that is technically accurate.

Review published materials and recommended revisions in scope, content, or
methods.

 

Essential Technical Experience and Education: Technical:

Minimum of 5 years in a Business Analyst/technical writing role.

Advanced computer skills especially in Microsoft Office Products,
PowerPoint, Visio, HTML, UML, and other modeling tools.

Advanced computer skills in Visio for the development of
System/Network/Server Architectural drawings.

Solid understanding and technical skills in developing (SDLC) Software
Development Life Cycle documents/artifacts.

Solid understanding and technical skills in developing (IDLC)
Infrastructure Development Life Cycle documents/artifacts.
